UNC alums find Chapelwood just the ticket

With slogans like “Welcome to Orange County, you’ll be a fan for life,” and “Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough: The Feeling Never Leaves You,” the Chapel Hill Orange County Visitors Bureau sums up what many who have attended UNC feel.
Lydia Hill grew up in High Point and lived in Cary for 17 years working at a company in Research Triangle Park. She is a UNC graduate and says she has always been an avid Carolina baseball fan – she even has season tickets.
So when deciding where she wanted to buy a retirement home, she said Chapel Hill was a natural choice. And Chapelwood, the new active-adult retirement community off of Barbee Chapel Road will, she says, allow her to age in place and have just a short commute to those home games.
“A lot of folks in my family went to Carolina and live all over the East Coast, so it’s a big thing for them to come visit my new home in Chapelwood,” Hill said. Read more….
