Although Chapelwood features a Chapel Hill address, our property is actually located in Durham County, resulting in low Durham taxes for home owners.
When do you plan to begin construction on Chapelwood?
Construction is currently underway at Chapelwood. The first homes were available in early July, 2009. Phase II is now open.
Do you have to be 55 years old to own a home in Chapelwood?
At least one family member needs to be 55 years or older to own a home in Chapelwood.
What is the price range of homes at Chapelwood?
Chapelwood prices range from $359,900 to $450,000+.
What do Chapelwood homes feature?

Will attached garages be included at Chapelwood?
Yes, each home features an over-sized two-car garage.
Is there a Home Owner’s Association?
Yes, Chapelwood has a Home Owner’s Association which includes lawn maintenance with monthly dues starting at $175.00.
Will the existing pool, tennis courts, and walking trails be included in the Chapelwood Home Owner’s Association fees?
Yes, the developers have contributed a large sum to insure the continued health of this amenity for the pleasure of our residents. A sophisticated trail system will be installed in the undeveloped portion of the Chapelwood property.
Is membership available at the UNC Faculty-Staff Recreation Association, also known as The Farm?
Membership in The Farm is open to all full-time and permanent part-time employees of UNC-Chapel Hill and University Hospitals, alumni of the University, and adult children of Farm members.
